38 Year Old Female End date 7-28-09

This 38 year old female's improvement has been phenomenal.

5' 5" 5'5"
146 lbs 144
Chest 38" 37
Waist 34" 31
biceps 12" 12
thighs 24" 23

The tale of the tape didn't change much. The testee's static strength; however, did increase. There were also subjective feelings of " I have more energy." "I feel stronger." "If I need to lift or carry something, I know I can do it." Waist size did decrease by 3" which is impressive. The rest of the measurements improved by less. The subject will continue to train post test. In fact, there is already additional data for 7/13 and 7/20. She will continue with static training; however, additional movement exercises and HIT training will also be included. Data Below:

  1. Her improvement is nothing short of spectacular.
Her protocol is once a week. After maximum testing on leg and bench, she performs a 90 second hold in the half way position with a 40 to 50% force. The day after her second work out, she went for a walk but ran 1.5 miles because subjectively she said "I have so much energy."

Subjectively he muscle tone has improved and she looks great. This is one we will ask permission to publish photos at a later date.

  2. Great improvement!

  3. More data to be posted soon. Subject increased almost all numbers except for leg press. Her legs may not have been completely recovered or her poison ivy may have made testing/training less enjoyable.

Keep in mind, the female trainees don;t care about adding mass. If they gain strength without gaining mass, they are very happy.

  7. Leg press results never duplicated?

  8. The leg press was in the high 900s on 7/13 and 7/20. This subject also likes to run and do tai bow which can affect results. Nevertheless, she looks like a model but can leg press like a football player. She is very strong.

On a side note, military presses were discontinued because of shoulder pain. Lateral raises were substituted. Crunches were substituted for static ab exercises. She also did some L hangs. Waist reduction was 2" and this is without dieting!

This is the market static contraction should be aimed toward. The every day folk who want to tone their bodies in 12 minutes one day a week. It does work in this capacity for the subjects we tested.

  9. She looks more like a model than a weight lifter! Good job, miss trainee!

  10. Not sure if this is her beginning or ending photo but either way, I will take her! What a fox. If more women used statics to train, then maybe women like this one would not stand out so well!

  11. Her numbers show real improvement with explosive fitnness!

  12. Be safe, basically think 'if i pass out during an exercise will i be hurt? safe
range, slower movement, no val salva. No ego here.

Remember the fitness culture sells gimmicks to the tune of billions. Anything is
better than eating poorly and watching tv all day. Most of the time people respond to any protocol for a while. Some will progress more than others.

All of these subjects demonstrate some improvement. The Women's leg press results for all three published are nothing short of phenomonal with the Explosive fitness machine.

  13. Wonder why static leg press works so well for women?

First Test: Explosive Fitness Streamline Exercise Machine 7-19-10 Update

Perhaps no other industry has as much hype as the fitness industry. This billion dollar market has its fair share of unfulfilled promises and broken dreams. From the days of seeing Charles Atlas comics of bullies kicking sand in the face of skinny boys to the present, fitness has been a lofty goal that for many appears out of reach. Our first test review will be of Explosive Training Streamline Machine . This is an isometric exercise machine consists of a bench and bar which provides a digital readout of the maximum amount of force exerted on the bar. Pete Sisco , an accomplished author in the field of exercising with heavy weights in a limited range of motion, apparently helped originally develop the machine. While Sisco is no longer affiliated with the product, his theories provide the basis for the muscle building goals of this exercise equipment. (Lately, Tony Reno has added additional software to an updated version which apparently claims fat reducing and aerobic benefits.) This

I Grip Isometric Fitness Product ~by Fitness Tester

The fitness market was surprised by the revival of isometrics a few years ago. The protocol we tested called for preexhausting of the muscles by isometrics followed by slow body weight movements. The results were favorable.  In a relatively short amount of time, once a week workouts produced gains.  (See previous articles and data.) The problem with isometric equipment has been that it has been costly to purchase equipment with a measuring device.  Without a measuring device, the trainee has little feedback as to his effort. That problem may have been solved with the relatively inexpensive Igrip. (Retail less than $100.)  The compact device measures the force applied pushing or pulling on the apparatus.  If one chooses to use the device to preexhaust the muscles and then immediately follows up with pushups, chinups and dips, there is no reason that an effective upper body workout can not be achieved. The 5 lb device has a capacity to measure forces between 0 and 200 lbs.  The ave

Discussing Body by Science Theories Of Super Slow High Intensity Training

Another "exercise related review" centers around John Little and Dr. Doug McDuff's book titled "Body by Science." The book is published by McGraw-Hill. The work is more than a book, it has become a way of life for many readers. John Little is a bodybuilder/ columnist for Ironman magazine and innovator of Max Contraction Training. Dr. McGuff is the brains behind the training practiced at Exercise Inc . (www.exerciseinc.com) McDuff's theories are supported by peer-reviewed scientific literature. McGuff claims, "If you are appropriately supervised, anyone can do this at any level of fitness." Here are four basic concepts of Body by Science type of training: 1. Lift and lower slowly : The slower the better. Consequently, when lifting weights, lift so slow that it takes over 10 seconds to lift the weight and another 10 seconds to lower the weight. That is one repetition. Try to keep the set at about 70 seconds to 90 seconds total (4 to 6 reps.)
